The Olive of Morganton, owned by Linda Chalks, is one of my favorite local places to enjoy a glass of wine. Although it isn’t a winery I felt it deserved to be included in our blogs. It is truly a local treasure. We often meet up with friends after work on Friday nights to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. The Olive offers so much more than just drinks. Her specialty shop offers extra virgin olive oils, imported balsamic vinegars, and spice blends. Her items can enhance anyone’s cooking. Depending on what night you go, you will enjoy live music, DJ Spence, music bingo and Tapas Tuesdays with Chef Laura. Need a gift? You will find lots to choose from and the presentation is amazing. With seating outside The Olive of Morganton is always a festive spot to enjoy downtown Morganton. Want to make a night of it? There are food trucks (seasonal) and restaurants available within walking distance. If you are in the Morganton area The Olive is worth visiting. Check out their website and Facebook page for hours.
