Hendersonville is blessed to have several great family owned wineries. Our last to visit in the area was Sawyer Springs. I love small family owned wineries because the owners care that you are there to enjoy their harvest and take the time to talk to visitors. As soon as we walked up to the winery we were greeted by Kristi. There was a BBQ food truck on the property but we had brought our lunch. We each did a tasting. I enjoyed the Alexis 32 and Charles liked the Black Rock. It was very hot that day, but there were fans and a covered porch. They have numerous tables with umbrellas scattered around the winery. Paul, the owner, came by each table and introduced himself and discussed the wines. You don’t get that personal touch at bigger wineries. The owner’s family has been working the land for 6 generations. Here you will find quality over quantity.
