If you are a sweet wine drinker then you should put Lu Mil Vineyard on your bucket list. If you don’t consider yourself one their wine might just convert you. Located in Dublin, Lu Mil 78 acres under muscadine vines on their several hundred acre farm. The vineyard is named after the owner’s parents Lucille and Miller Taylor. It is family owned and operated. They have been producing wine since 2005. The family converted one of their old barns into a venue along with several newer climate controlled venues. After your tasting you can enjoy a glass or bottle on their huge wrap around porch and enjoy the pond view. Their wines have great names such as Old Cumberland, Bladen Blush, Sir Walter Raleigh and Cape Owen Red. All honoring local locations and people. They also offer a variety of sweet fruit wines. Charles and I both liked the Sir Walter Raleigh. Be sure to try one of their famous Muscadine Cider Slushies! Looking for lodging? Lu Mil offers several options including cabins and two guest houses. The tasting room also offers gifts, mixers, and jams. If you are in the coastal region Lu Mil is a must see.
