Habersham Winery and Vineyard
Habersham Vineyards and Winery is located in Helen, Georgia. They have the distinction of being one of the oldest and largest wineries in Georgia. They have been producing wines since 1983. Creekstone and Habersham are owned by the same people. They differ in the grapes used. Habersham has several different locations. We visited the Nacoochee Village location. The tasting room is open inside for tastings or you can enjoy a flight outside under the covered seating area. We tried a flight. Their flights are $12 for 5 wines. Two wines I enjoyed were the Signet, a white grape blend, and the Cherokee Rose, a “by the pool” easy sipping wine. The tasting room is open 7 days a week and offers curbside service. In addition to the tasting room Habersham offers gourmet cheese and crackers, everything you need to create the perfect picnic. In the spring Habersham is part of Winefest. Be sure to check their website for more information. Only service dogs are allowed in the tasting room but leashed dogs are allowed on the patio.
