You don't have to be Popeye to enjoy this savory casserole.

Spinach Feta Strata

Directions

  • Spray a 9*13 pan and arrange croissant halves, cutting if necessary

  • In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, spinach, salt, nutmeg, and pepper. 

  • Pour over bread and sprinkle with cheeses.

  • Cover and store in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.

  • Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.

  • Preheat oven 350 degrees.

  • Bake uncovered for 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.

  • Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.

Ingredients

  • 10 croissants, split

  • 10 eggs, slightly beaten

  • 1 1/2 cups 2% milk

  • 1 package (10 oz) frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

  • 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack cheese or your choice

  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
