No drink is better than hot cocoa and these make a great gift.

Hot Cocoa Bombs

Directions

  • Melt chocolate (you can use food coloring to change the color of white chocolate)

  • With a brush or spoon spread chocolate in each mold

  • Invert mold over a small cookie sheet and put in the freezer for a few minutes.  Take out and see if you need another layer of chocolate.   A second layer gives it the thickness to handle and will fill in any holes.  After second layer invert over cookie sheet and return to freezer for a couple of minutes.

  • Take chocolate out of molds.

  • Take a semi circle and with the cookie sheet resting ona burner on low heat, melt the edges (not much, just to make edges smooth)

  • Only the edge on half.  You will melt the other half when you put them together.

  • Fill the half that has had the edge smoothed with hot chocolate mix. Add some marshmallows on top of the cocoa mix.

  • Melt the edge of the other half and put it with the filled half.  If it doesn't fit perfectly, fill in with some of the melted chocolate.

  • Decorate any way you want.  Put in a cupcake paper.

  • You can put in pastic bags to give as gifts.

  • Put bomb in cup and pour 8 oz of hot milk or water.  Stir well until completely dissolved.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz chocolate (color depends on if you want to color)

  •  hot cocoa mix (enough for the amount of bombs)

  • mold for bombs
